The flag of Aosta Valley is one of the official symbols of the region of Aosta Valley, Italy. The current flag was adopted on 16 March 2006.[1]
Symbolism[]
The flag was in unofficial use since 1947, and was then adopted as official with the Regional Law of 2006. The origin of the colours of the flag itself is not known [1][2] but may have its origins from the coat of arms of Challant family.
