Gabrielle "Gabbie" Plain is an Australian, collegiate All-American, 2020 Olympian, right-handed softball pitcher, originally from Sydney, Australia.[1][2][3][4] She attends the University of Washington and pitches for the Washington Huskies softball team in the Pac-12 Conference, where she ranks in several school records.[5][6][7] In her freshman year, Plain led the Huskies to a runner-up appearance in the 2018 Women's College World Series, where they lost to Florida State, 2–0 in the finals.[8][9] Plain played for Team Australia in the 2020 Summer Olympics.

Team Australia[]

Plain competed in the Tokyo Games by throwing 6 innings of work for Team Australia. She allowed an earned run, 10 hits, five walks and struck out 1 batter. Australia placed fifth and was unable to medal for the first time in an Olympic softball tournament.[10]
