Havelock station in Singapore

Havelock MRT station is a future underground Mass Rapid Transit station on the Thomson-East Coast Line in Bukit Merah planning area, Singapore. It will be located around Bukit Ho Swee residential estate, Tan Boon Liat Building and Holiday Inn.[1]

History[]

This station was first announced on 29 August 2012.[2] The station had three names - Bukit Ho Swee, Havelock and Zion Road, in the end Havelock was selected. The station is being constructed by Hong Kong-based construction firm, Gammon Construction.[3]

Contract T221 for the design and construction of Havelock Station was awarded to Gammon Construction Limited at a sum of S$210 million in February 2014. Construction started in 2014, with completion in 2022.[4][5]
