Hola Prystan (Ukrainian: Гола Пристань, Russian: Голая Пристань) is a city in Skadovsk Raion, Kherson Oblast (province) of Ukraine. It hosts the administration of , one of the hromadas of Ukraine.[1] Population: 13,760 (2021 est.)[2]

The Konka, a tributary of the Dnieper, flows through the city.

History[]

Hola Prystan literally means barren pier and was founded in 1709 by Zaporizhian Cossacks as Holyi Pereviz (Barren Ford). Since 1785 it is first mentioned as Hola Prystan.

Until 18 July 2020, Hola Prystan was incorporated as a city of oblast significance and the center of Hola Prystan Municipality. It also served as the administrative center of Hola Prystan Raion though it did not belong to the raion. The municipality was abolished in July 2020 as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Kherson Oblast to five. The area of Hola Prystan Municipality was merged into Skadovsk Raion.[3][4]

In the years of the Ukrainian Independence[]

Hola Pristan was granted the regional town status on May 17, 2013.
