Husted, Colorado

Early El Paso County Colorado map. Husted was between Monument and Colorado Springs, Colorado and its site is now in the northern portion of the Air Force Academy.

Husted was a settlement on the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad and located thirteen miles north of Colorado Springs. Residents were involved in ranching and lumber businesses.[1] In 1878, a railroad post office was moved from Southwater to Husted. The post office closed in 1920.[2]
