Itala is a comune (municipality) in the Metropolitan City of Messina in the Italian region Sicily, located about 182.69 kilometres (113.52 mi) east of Palermo and about 18.85 kilometres (11.71 mi) southwest of Messina.

Itala borders the following municipalities: Alì, Alì Terme, Fiumedinisi, Messina, Scaletta Zanclea.
