Jalen Carter (born April 4) is an American football defensive tackle for the Georgia Bulldogs.

High school career[]

Carter attended Apopka High School in Apopka, Florida. In 13 games as a senior, Carter had 12 sacks to along with 64 tackles and he recorded a touchdown.[1] According to 247Sports, Carter was a 5-star recruit and the 18th best player in the class of 2020.[2] His comparison was Daron Payne of the Washington Commanders. Carter committed to the University of Georgia to play college football over Florida State, Florida, and Miami.

College career[]

Carter played in 8 games as a freshman. He recorded 12 tackles and caught a touchdown pass in his first year.[3] In Carter's sophomore season he tallied 31 tackles and 3 sacks in 12 games.[4] This performance earned him a spot on the All-SEC Second team.[5]
