The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is a media franchise and shared fictional universe that is the setting of superhero television series based on characters that appear in Marvel Comics publications. The MCU first expanded to television with series from Marvel Television that released from 2013 until 2020 on ABC, Netflix, Hulu, and Freeform. Marvel Studios—the production studio behind the films—began releasing series on Disney+ as part of Phase Four. WandaVision began streaming in 2021, and was followed by The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, the first season of Loki, and the animated What If...?, with Hawkeye and Ms. Marvel also planned for 2021, while Moon Knight, She-Hulk, Secret Invasion, and The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special are planned to be released in 2022. Ironheart, Armor Wars, a drama series set in Wakanda, and an untitled Echo series are also in development. These series feature greater interconnectivity with the feature films than those from Marvel Television, with many actors reprising their roles from the MCU films.

For Phase Four, Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany reprise their respective roles as Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch and Vision in WandaVision; Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan star in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier returning as Sam Wilson / Falcon and Bucky Barnes / Winter Soldier, respectively; Tom Hiddleston headlines Loki reprising his role as the titular character; Jeffrey Wright narrates What If...? as Uatu / The Watcher; Jeremy Renner will reprise his role as Clint Barton / Hawkeye in Hawkeye, where he will be joined by Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop / Hawkeye; Iman Vellani will star as Kamala Khan / Ms. Marvel in Ms. Marvel; Oscar Isaac will headline Moon Knight as Marc Spector / Moon Knight; Tatiana Maslany will star as Jennifer Walters / She-Hulk in She-Hulk; Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn will reprise their roles as Nick Fury and Talos in Secret Invasion; Don Cheadle will star in Armor Wars returning as James Rhodes / War Machine; Dominique Thorne will star in Ironheart reprising her role as Riri Williams / Ironheart; and Danai Gurira will star in the Wakanda series returning as Okoye. Additionally, Alaqua Cox will reprise her Hawkeye role as Maya Lopez / Echo in an untitled Echo series.
