List of corporate positions[]

Executive chairmen[]

The executive chairman remains the highest-ranking corporate officer in Disney's history, and was responsible for directly overseeing the chief executive officer and the company's senior leadership. It was an ad hoc position installed by the board of directors for Bob Iger.[1]

Chairmen of the board[]

The chairman of the board is a non-executive position responsible for presiding over the sessions of the board of directors. The post was often simultaneously held by the chief executive officer.

Walt Disney resigned as chairman sometime before 1960 so he could focus more on the creative aspects of the company. He remained a member of the board of directors and an employee with the title "executive producer in charge of all production."[2] The chairman office was vacant until 1964.

Vice chairmen of the board[]

Chief executive officers[]

The chief executive officer is responsible for the operational direction of the company and superintends the other executive officers.

Presidents[]

The president was commonly referred as the right hand of the chief executive. Holders of the position were seen as the likely successor to the CEO.
