This list contains the top 50 accounts with the largest number of followers on the Chinese social media platform TikTok,[1] which was previously merged with musical.ly.[2][3][4][5][6] The most-followed individual on the platform is Charli D'Amelio, with over 120 million followers.[7][8] She surpassed the previous most-followed account, Loren Gray, on 25 March 2020.

The following table lists the 50 most-followed accounts on TikTok, with each follower total rounded down to the nearest hundred thousand followers, as well as the description of each account and their country of origin.[6][9]

Historical most-followed accounts
Lisa and Lena were formerly the most followed individuals on TikTok, with more than 32 million followers before they deleted their account.
This lists accounts that once were the most followed account on TikTok, excluding the official TikTok account.
Before Charli D'Amelio was the most-followed TikTok individual, Loren Gray was the most-followed individual. She was surpassed by Charli D'Amelio on 25 March 2020. She had 41.3 million followers when she was passed and was the first TikTok account to reach 40 million followers. Charli D'Amelio is now the most-followed TikTok user, being the first TikTok user to reach 100 million followers.[11]
Before Loren, Lisa and Lena were the most followed individuals on TikTok, with over 32.7 million followers.[12][13] They deleted their account in March 2019, citing privacy concerns and their loss of interest in the platform.[14][15][16][17][18] They rejoined TikTok on a new account with the same username on 7 May 2020. They now have over 12.7 million followers.

Most-followed accounts on Douyin
The following table lists the 10 most-followed accounts on Douyin as of 24 August 2021. Douyin, available only in China, is similar to TikTok. However, it runs on separate servers to comply with Chinese censorship restrictions. They are both owned by ByteDance.[23]
