Mary Angela Lehman (born April 8, 1964) is an American politician from the Democratic Party and is a current member of the Maryland House of Delegates representing District 21.
Early life[]
Lehman attended the University of Maryland, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Bachelor of Science in Journalism. Prior to her election, Lehman served as a legislative aide to Joseline Pena-Melnyk, another representative of District 21 in the Maryland House of Delegates.[1]
Lehman is a former member of the Prince George's County Council, having served from 2010 to 2018.[1][2]
Career[]
Lehman was sworn in as a member of the Maryland House of Delegates on January 9, 2019, and is a member of the Environment and Transportation Committee, the housing and real property subcommittee, and agriculture and open space subcommittee.[1]
Lehman is a member of the Maryland Legislative Transit Caucus and the Women Legislators of Maryland, and is an associate member of the Maryland Legislative Latino Caucus.[1]
