New Salem is an unincorporated community in Cowley County, Kansas, United States.[1] New Salem is located at 37°18′38″N 96°53′43″W / 37.31056°N 96.89528°W.

A post office was opened in New Salem in 1872, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1972.[2]
