History[]

As News Team 13 (2011–2013)[]

News Team 13 premiered on August 8, 2011, two months after IBC-13's relaunch which was brought about by the station's blocktime agreement with TV5. A result of the merger of primetime newscast IBC Express Balita and late night newscast IBC News Tonight, the newscast was then aired at 4:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. It was anchored by Zyrene Parsad-Valencia and Cathy Eigenmann.

As News Team 13 2.0 (2013–2019)[]

It was relaunched on September 30, 2013 with a new set, new graphics design, and the introduction of new anchors Vincent Santos and Phoebe Javier, who came from the now defunct RPN NewsWatch of the closed-down RPN. Meanwhile, News Team 13 afternoon edition extended into an hour-long newscast (formerly 30 minutes).

On November 11, 2013, as part of the Media ng Bayan's (combined portfolio of the PBS and PTV-4 assets) coverage of Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda), News Team 13 afternoon edition moved its timeslot from 4:00 pm (original) to 5:00 pm (permanent).

On June 2, 2014, as part of changes brought by the launch of the ATC @ IBC time brokerage, News Team 13 primetime edition moved its timeslot from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. On June 16, 2014, Jess Caduco joined the anchors of News Team 13 10 pm edition as the newscast extended into an hour Caduco was put as co-anchor with Phoebe Javier. On October 6, 2014, Caduco went solo as the anchor of the late evening edition of News Team 13 as his former co-host Javier was transferred to the 6:00 pm edition, replacing Czarinah Lusuegro who moved to RadyoBisyon. On August 2016, Santos became the sole anchor of the newscast up to its cancellation.

On February 11, 2019, News Team 13 aired its final episode due to technical upgrades, including IBC's transfer of its news studios from Broadcast City to its new refurbished compound in Capitol Hills, Quezon City; in line with their preparations for its new news program, Tutok 13. Vincent Santos was carried over as anchor. It was temporarily replaced by Salaam TV wherein it was shown on the newscast’s time slot until February 22, 2019.
