Newton Township is one of thirteen townships in Jasper County, Indiana, United States. As of the 2010 census, its population was 811 and it contained 316 housing units.[1]

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 34.37 square miles (89.0 km2), of which 34.35 square miles (89.0 km2) (or 99.94%) is land and 0.03 square miles (0.078 km2) (or 0.09%) is water.[1]
