Olearia exiguifolia is a plant in the Asteraceae family.[1] It was first described as Aster exiguifolius in 1865 by Ferdinand von Mueller.[1][4] In 1867 Mueller assigned it to the genus Olearia in George Bentham's Flora Australiensis.[1][2]
It is native to Western Australia, but has been introduced to South Australia.[3]
Description[]
In Flora Australiensis, Mueller describes it as:
A much-branched shrub of 3 to 4 ft., closely resembling the smaller forms of 0. ramulosa, differing chiefly in the leaves, which are obovate-orbicular or broadly-cuneate, very obtuse and mostly 3-toothed, 1 to 2 lines long, narrowed into a short petiole. Flower-heads small, terminating short axillary branchlets. Florets, achenes, and pappus of 0. ramulosa.— Aster exiguifolius, F. Muell. 1.c
