Oleksandr Safronov (Ukrainian: Олександр Олександрович Сафронов; born 11 June 1999) is a professional Ukrainian football defender who plays for Desna Chernihiv.

Career[]

Safronov is a product of the FC Metalurh Zaporizhia[1] and the FC Dnipro Youth Sportive School systems. In March 2017 he was promoted to the main-team squad of FC Dnipro, but never made debut in the Ukrainian Premier League.

Dnipro-1[]

In June 2017 he joined the new created Dnipro-1 and made his debut for this club in the winning match against FC Metalist 1925 Kharkiv on 15 July 2017 in the Ukrainian Second League as a second half-time substituted player.

Levadia Tallinn (On Loan)[]

In January 2020 he moved on loan to Levadia Tallinn in |Meistriliiga where he played 8 games and scoring 2 goal in the season 2020.[2]

SC Dnipro-1[]

In summer 2020 he returned to SC Dnipro-1 from loan in Ukrainian Premier League, where he played 3 games in the season 2020-21.[3]

Desna Chernihiv[]

On 14 July 2021 he signed two years contract with Desna Chernihiv, the main club of Chernihiv in Ukrainian Premier League.[4][5][6]On 14 July 2021 he scored his first goal with the new team in the friendly match against VPK-Ahro at the Stadion Yuri Gagarin.[7]On 25 July 2021, he made his debut in Ukrainian Premier League with the new club against Chornomorets Odesa at the Stadion Yuri Gagarin.[8]On 3 October 2021, he play in Ukrainian Premier League, against Zorya Luhansk, replacing Oleksiy Kovtun at the 46 minute.[9]On 15 November 2021 he played against Olimpik Donetsk in the friendly match at the Bannikov Stadium in Kyiv.[10][11]

National Team[]

On June 15, 2019 Safronov became a world champion by winning the FIFA U-20 World Cup with the Ukraine U20.[12][13]
