Patterson railway station is located on the Frankston line in Victoria, Australia. It serves the south-eastern Melbourne suburb of Bentleigh, and it opened on 28 May 1961.[1]

It was named after Patterson Road, which is located immediately south and provides access to the station.

From the start, provision was made for another platform face on the western side of the station. It came into use on 28 June 1987, when a third track was provided between Caulfield and Moorabbin stations.[2]
