Phoenix (Caria)

Phoenix or Phoinix (Ancient Greek: Φοῖνιξ) was a town of ancient Caria, near the on the southern branch of the Bozburun Peninsula.[1] It may be the same as the town called Phoenice or Phoinike (Φοινίκη) by Stephanus of Byzantium.[2][3]
Its site is located near in Asiatic Turkey.[1][4] Archaeology has uncovered numerous inscriptions.[3]
