Point Lance is a town in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. The town had a population of 102 in the Canada 2016 Census. It was first settled around 1825 by two brothers, Philip and Edward Careen, immigrants from south-east Ireland. Point Lance is located in St. Mary's Bay approximately 33 km from Cape St. Mary's Ecological Reserve.

Point Lance has one store, "D'n'D Convenience" which offers a variety of grocery and convenience items.

As of April 2021 Point Lance has a 5 member town council: Mayor: Melvin Careen, Deputy Mayor: Allan Nash, Councilors: Maureen Young, Lenora Coffey-Careen and Chantel Nash, as well as the town clerk, Jane Power.

Although it is a small town, Point Lance remains very vibrant with a beautiful new community centre and playground. The children of Point Lance attend school at Fatima Academy in the nearby community of St. Bride's. The most prevalent industry is the fishing industry. Most of the fisherpeople fish from the wharf in the closest community to Point Lance, Branch, St. Mary's Bay.

Point Lance has a beautiful sandy beach that is approximately a mile long with two freshwater swimming holes located both midway and at the end of the beach. There is also a walking trail just past the beach that boasts amazing views of the ocean. This trail is locally known as "The Tilts".
