Pranayraj Vangari is a Telugu Theatre Research Scholar,[1] Telugu Wikipedia Administrator and Chief Secretary of "Popcorn Theatre" group.[2][3] With a concept name WikiVatsaram (transl. Wiki Year), he has written 365 new articles on Wikipedia in 365 days in a row. He is the first person to achieve this credit in the world.[4][5][6][7][8] Continuing that trend, he completed 1000 articles in 1000 days as of June 4, 2019. Now he completed 1500 articles in 1500 days as of October 17, 2020.
Birth[]
Pranayraj was born on March 25, 1985, in Mothkur, Yadadri Bhuvanagari District in a Weavers family, his father, Jaanaiah is a big fan of Telugu Cinema, he used to watch each Telugu movie multiple times when he was staying in Solapur, Maharashtra. His mother Kalamma used to sing Bathukamma songs and Pendli Appagintha Paatalu songs (transl. Songs sung at sending Bride to their in-laws place after marriage ceremony). This attracted him towards the arts. He started listening to songs on the radio and practiced singing movie songs from lyrics books. Then he started performing in his school events, Vinayaka Chavithi celebrations and marriage ceremonies in his home town.[9]
Education[]
Pranayraj completed his schooling in Mothkur High school, Intermediate education from Mothkur Governament Junior college and obtained his bachelor's degree from S. L. N. S. Degree College, Bhuvanagiri. Because of his interest in Arts from childhood, he joined and completed Post Graduation program (Theatre Arts) in Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University, Hyderabad and pursuing M.Phil. (Theatre Arts) on the topic Telugulo Prapancha Naataka Saahitya Anuvaadaalu - Oka Parisheelana (transl. World Theatre Literature Translations into Telugu - A Observation).
Early career[]
In 2006, he moved to Hyderabad and joined Heritage Fresh Super Market, Habsiguda, Hyderabad. In 2009, he learned Film editing. He worked as an Editor for few Short Films.
Theatrical reign[]
Inspired by watching various Mythology and other Dramas in his home town, he used to perform small skits with his friends. Continuing that he joined Master of Performing Arts (M.P.A.) course in Theatrical College of Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University in the year 2009.

- Pranayraj's team won First prize in Mime competitions held at South India Youth Festival, Thanjavur University, Thanjavur in 2010.
- Pranayraj's team won Second prize in Mime competitions held at All India Youth Festival, Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati in the year of 2011.
Theatre Outreach Unit[]
In order to encourage Youth Theatre, under Theatre Department of University of Hyderabad and Dr. Peddi Rama Rao as Co-ordinator, Theatre Outreach Unit (T.O.U.) was established in the year of 2012. Pranayraj joined T.O.U. as Project Assistant and worked there till 2017. During that tenure, Pranayraj got introduced to various Theatre Institutes and Theatre Celebrities. Pranayraj worked as Administrator for various Theatre Festivals, Theatre Training events conducted by T.O.U.
Popcorn Theatre Establishment[]
Pranayraj participated in Tifli International Theatre Festival for Children and Young Audience, in New Delhi during February 17–23, 2014. On March 20, he established Popcorn Theatre with the performance of Amma Cheppina Katha in Golden Threshold, Abids, Hyderabad by collaborating with some of his friends who are also working in Telugu Theatre. Through the Popcorn Theatre, he is working to attract Children and Youth towards Theatre.[10]

1. As a Member of Deccan Theatre Scholars Association (DTSA), he is working to appoint Theatre Graduates/Scholars as Teachers in Telangana Government Schools and Colleges. 2. As a Treasurer of Telangana Rangasthala Samakhya (TeRa), he is working to unearth Telangana Theatre History and Development of Telangana Youth Theatre.

- Worked as Publicity Executive for a Telugu Movie A-Fire released in 2015.
- Worked as Assistant Director for a Telugu Movie Avanthika released in 2017.
- Under Telangana State Language and Culture Department and supervision of Mamidi Harikrishna, Pranayraj while working as a Co-Ordinator for various film programs conducted on Paidi Jairaj Preview Theatre, Ravindra Bharathi, Hyderabad, working to establish Telangana Cinema.
Contributions in Telugu Wikipedia[]
Pranayraj, having the habit of sharing his knowledge with others, with the intention of developing Telugu Language, joined Telugu Wikipedia on 8 March 2013. He is helping Telugu Language lovers by writing articles on various Theatre Celebrities, Telugu Celebrities, Telangana Topics (Culture, Persons, History, Tourism) along with other articles on Telugu Wikipedia. Recognizing his contributions in conducting Wiki Training Camps, Meetings and participating in Various Programs, he is designated as Telugu Wikipedia Administrator on 8 November 2016.
- Acted as General Secretary for 10th Anniversary Celebrations in 2014 hosted in Vijayawada and 11th Anniversary Celebration in 2015 hosted in Tirupathi.[11][12]
- Attended Wikimania-2016 happened in June 2016 hosted in Esino Lario, Italy representing Telugu Wikipedia.
- Participated in Wikimedia India Conference - 2016 hosted in Chandigarh, worked with fellow Wikipedians for Telugu Wikipedia to won in Punjab Editathon.
- While writing articles in Telugu Wikipedia, conducting Wikipedia Training Camps and Meetings.
- Campaigning about Telugu Wikipedia through various mediums to reach it to everyone. Recognizing Pranayraj's contributions, Wikimedia Foundation invited him to Wikipedia International Conference Wikimania 2016 held in Italy.[13]
- Pranayraj successfully completed 100 days – 100 Wiki articles challenge happening in various Languages of Wikipedia Worldwide. During September 8, 2016 – December 16, 2016 he completed 100 Wiki Articles.[14][15]
- Created history by becoming First Wikipedian in the World by writing 365 Wiki Articles in 365 days under WikiVastaram concept.[16] Starting on September 8, 2016, writing a wiki article every day, he completed WikiVastaram on September 7, 2017. On this occasion, Vice President of India Venkaiah Naidu congratulated Pranayraj through his Twitter Account.[17] Telangana State Minister K.T.R along with congratulating him through his Twitter and Facebook Account, facilitated Pranayraj in his chamber at Pragathi Bhavan.[18]
- On June 4, 2019, he completed 1000 days - 1000 Wiki Articles.[19][20]
- On October 17, 2020, he completed 1500 days - 1500 articles. As well as further advancing this Wiki Challenge continues.

- Localization Award - 2018: As part of 2018 Telangana Formation Day celebrations, on June 1, in Annual Report event conducted by Telangana Government Information and Technology, Pranayraj received first Localization Award from State IT Minister K.T.R .[21]
