Razan[2] (Persian: رزن) is a city and capital of Razan County, Hamadan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 15,371, in 2,871 families.[3] The people of this town speak Azeri Turkish.[4][5] There are many famous persons and celebrities from this county including Molla-Ali Masoumi, Dr. Mohammad Mofatteh, Mohyedin Anvari, Mohammad Piran, Mostafa Rahmandost, Sedighe Vasmaghi, Ghorbanali Namdari, Hossein Nori-Hamdani, Dr. Nosrati, and MirzaHasan Razini.
