The Richard M. Flynn Power Plant is a power plant in Holtsville, in Suffolk County, on Long Island, in New York, United States. It is operated by the New York Power Authority (NYPA).
Overview[]
The power plant is fueled by natural gas.[1][2] It has a nameplate capacity of 164 MW and is operated by the New York Power Authority.[1][3][4]
The plant is named after Richard M. Flynn, who had served as a chairman of the New York Power Authority.[5][6]
The electricity generated at the plant is distributed across Long Island via the Long Island Power Authority's electrical transmission network.[1]
