The Scillonian Cross (Cornish: Baner Syllan) is the flag of the Isles of Scilly, Cornwall, England, United Kingdom.[1]
The flag consists of a white cross over an orange and blue background. The orange represents the orange-hued sunsets the islands are known for, while the blue represents the surrounding sea. In the upper-right canton, there are five stars which represent the 5 inhabited islands and their location. [2][3][1]
It was selected by readers of Scilly News in a 2002 vote and then registered with the Flag Institute as the flag of the islands.[4][1]
