Somerset West and Taunton District Council is the local authority for the Somerset West and Taunton district from 1 April 2019.

Elections and membership[]

As of 2018, the councillors of the Somerset West and Taunton shadow authority were all councillors from both Taunton Deane and West Somerset district councils.[1][2] Councillors served in this capacity until elections to the new authority were held in May 2019.
