Supremme de Luxe is the drag persona of Daniel Blesa (born January 6, 1979), a Spanish drag queen and singer based in Madrid. She currently serves as the host and head judge of Drag Race España.

Early life[]

Blesa was born and raised in Fuenlabrada in the Community of Madrid. As a teenager, he was active in local theatre.[citation needed]

Career[]

Blesa first started doing drag in 1997 in Madrid, shortly after declaring himself to be a conscientious objector from military service in the Spanish Army; performing a lip-sync to a Mónica Naranjo song.[1] According to Blesa, the name 'Supremme' was a tribute to the American singer Diana Ross and her girl-group The Supremes; while 'de Luxe' was given to her years later by an acquaintance.[2][1]

Supremme de Luxe made a name for herself in the Madrid drag scene, having participated in all of the city's Pride parades since 2000 as a performer or emcee.[3]

She also has a career in theatre, including appearances in Encerradas en un Pryconsa; Ellas cantan, ellas cuentan; Tranxformers; and Retromanía.[4]

In 2012, she released her first album, Ahora yo.[3] Her 2013 song "Miénteme" was part of the official soundtrack for WorldPride 2017. Further singles have included "Perdiste ya el control" (2014), "Basta ya" (2015), "Candy Shop" and "Gettin' High" (both 2016), "Ener-G" (2017), and "Resurgiré" (2019).[3][4]

In 2021, she was announced to be the host and main judge of Drag Race España, a Spanish adaptation of the American drag competition series, RuPaul's Drag Race.[3][2][1]
