Christopher Adamson (born 1991/1992), better known by his stage name Vanity Milan,[1] is a British drag queen[2] best known for competing on the third series of RuPaul's Drag Race UK.[3]
Early life[]
Adamson is British Jamaican[2] and grew up in Mitcham, South London.[4]
Career[]
Adamson started doing drag in London in 2019. That year, she won a competition called "The Crown" hosted by Kitty Scott-Claus.[4] Her drag name comes from her mother calling her vain and her love of fashion.[5] Her husband makes her costumes.[6]
In 2021, Vanity Milan competed on series three of RuPaul's Drag Race UK.[7] While on the show, Milan recorded the song "BDE," for which she won a challenge. She also won three lip syncs, tying with series two contest Tayce for the most lip syncs won on RuPaul's Drag Race UK.[3] Milan was eliminated in the eighth episode of the series,[8] coming in fourth.[9][10]
Since the show, Milan has commented on the lack of diversity on RuPaul's Drag Race UK.[11][12]
In 2022, Milan released her debut single "Miss Milan (Don't Play With Me)".[13][14] She was also featured in the music video for Cheryl Hole's debut single "Need the Power."[15][16]
Personal life[]
In 2011, Adamson moved to Estonia, where he lived for five years.[17] While there, he met his husband Siim Adamson, who is an Estonian citizen.[1]
