Taylour Dominique Paige (born October 5, 1990) is an American actress and dancer. She is known for her roles as Ahsha Hayes in the VH1 series Hit the Floor, films Jean of the Joneses (2016), White Boy Rick (2018), Zola (2020), Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, and Boogie (2021).

Early life and education[]

Paige was born to Reginald Paige and Cheryl Boutte,[2][3] and grew up in the Inglewood, California, a suburb of Los Angeles. She started training at Katnap in Venice, Westside Ballet Academy, and later spent two consecutive summers at the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington, DC. In 2001, she became a student of celebrity choreographer Debbie Allen. That same year, she auditioned for Allen's Pearl. In a rehearsal for Allen's Alex In Wonderland, Allen invited television producer Stan Rogow.

She attended St. Bernard Catholic High School in Playa del Rey where she graduated in 2008. She became a Los Angeles Laker Girl in 2010,[4] and spent three months with the professional cheerleading squad before leaving to finish college and pursue her acting career. As a Laker Girl, she was featured in a special by Fox Sports on the making of the 2011 Laker Girls Calendar.[5] She is a graduate of Loyola Marymount University.

Paige has been featured in commercials for Transamerica, Best Buy, and McDonald's commercials as well as an Adidas printed advertisement, and in a Just Dance 3 interstitial. She has also starred in VH1s television show, “Hit the Floor”.
