Theater District/South 9th Street is a light rail station on Link light rail's Line T in Tacoma, Washington, United States. The station officially opened for service on August 22, 2003; it is located at the northern end of downtown and is named for the several nearby performing art centers.[1]

The station is planned to be relocated as part of Line T's extension to the Hilltop area in 2022. It will be rebuilt two blocks north, adjacent to the Old City Hall building, and renamed "Old City Hall".[2][3]

Artwork at the station reflects the Theater District:[citation needed]

  • Seats at the station resemble fold-up theater seats
  • Bronze plaques in the ground are reproductions of historical theatrical posters
  • Projectors project theatrical scenes on screens at night
