Eurovision Song Contest[]

On 13 January 2017 ERT announced Demy as the Greek entrant to 2017 Contest in Kyiv.[2] Later the day of Demy's announcement as performer at Eurovision, ERT revealed that Dimitris Kontopoulos (the selected songwriter) will write three songs for Demy, that they will compete in a national final with video clips at early March 2017 where the Greek public, would select their favorite song. Voting to select the song at the national final would be conducted through 100% televoting and SMS texting by the public. The three songs are in English language and each one of the songs are in different genres. Later, it was announced that for the first time, together with the public, the song would be selected by a jury of Greek communities of the Diaspora.

Through the national final which was held on 6 March, it was revealed that "This Is Love" would represent the country in Kyiv. The other two songs, "When the Morning Comes Around" and "Angels" finished 2nd and 3rd respectively. "This Is Love" won the national final with a percentage of 70% of the televoting and 89% of the international diaspora juries.[3]

The song qualified for the grand final where it finished in 19th place.
