Eurovision Song Contest[]

On 15 February 2017, Bárta was confirmed to be the Czech entrant to the Eurovision Song Contest 2017.[2] On 21 February, the song was confirmed to be called "My Turn".[3] The song's audio was released on 7 March, while its music video premiered on 13 March.[4][5] It was released as a digital download on 29 March.

Bárta performed "My Turn" in the second half of the first semi-final of Eurovision 2017 held at the International Exhibition Centre in Kiev on the night of 9 May 2017:[6][7] performing in a custom-designed copper-colored foil jumpsuit[8] with four members of the Czech vocal sextet Skety as offstage chorale, while enlarged images from the song's video appeared behind her,[9] Bárta was the fourteenth performer in a field of eighteen. Following the tabulation of votes "My Turn" was ranked 13th and not being among the top ten highest ranked songs was therefore eliminated from the competition.[10]
