Transformers Prime Beast Hunters: Predacons Rising is a 2013 American computer animated action adventure television film that concludes the Transformers: Prime television series. It was first broadcast on Hub Network on October 4, 2013. After the Autobots victory on Earth, Unicron returns in possession of Megatron's body with the intent on destroying Cybertron, forcing Autobots, Decepticons, and Predacons to form an unlikely alliance to counter this threat.[1][2]

Plot[]

Not long after Megatron's demise and the restoration of Cybertron, the Autobots celebrate as Optimus Prime knights Bumblebee a warrior. Optimus leaves with Wheeljack on a journey to find the AllSpark, the source of life on Cybertron, leaving Ultra Magnus in charge in Prime's absence to hunt down the missing Shockwave and Starscream with the other Autobots. Meanwhile, at the bottom of Earth's ocean, Megatron is revived and upgraded by Unicron to destroy Cybertron. Meanwhile, Ultra Magnus and Smokescreen continue to search for the fugitive Decepticons, only for Ultra Magnus to be critically wounded by Predacons Skylynx and Darksteel, two experiments by Starscream and Shockwave, forcing Ratchet to be called back from Earth to treat him.

Meanwhile, Bumblebee leads Smokescreen, Bulkhead and Arcee to track Predaking, to ask his help in finding his two new brothers, but Predaking refuses, having not forgiven the Autobots for destroying his brethren on Earth. After Bumblebee asks the imprisoned Knock Out for ideas on locating the fugitives, he leads the Autobots to Megatron's old fortress in Kaon for answers, but they are confronted by Unicron in Megatron's body. Falsely believing Megatron has returned, the Autobots attempt to engage Unicron who corrects them, only to be outmatched and forced to escape.

Meanwhile, in the Theta Scorpii asteroid belt, Optimus and Wheeljack arrive to the coordinates of the AllSpark in a container. Optimus heads out and finds and retrieves the object despite an oncoming plasma storm but their ship is damaged by an asteroid, nonetheless they set course for Cybertron. Meanwhile, the Autobots unsuccessfully try to contact Optimus from the former Decepticon flagship Nemesis. With Optimus not available and Ultra Magnus wounded in action, Bumblebee assumes temporary leadership of the Autobots.

Elsewhere, Predaking starts investigating and finds the area where the two Predacons fought Magnus and Smokescreen, realizing that the Autobots were telling the truth and begins searching for Skylynx and Darksteel, but is found by Unicron. Megatron seeks to have his body back, and deceives Unicron into talking to him, with Predaking immediately attacking him. However, Unicron defeats Predaking, before discovering the Predacon bone yard and punishing Megatron. Meanwhile, Shockwave, Darksteel, Skylynx, and Starscream find the Predacon bone yard, but are soon confronted by Unicron. The two Predacons try to engage him, but Unicron overpowers them and resurrects the Predacon corpses into undead Terrorcons, who scare off Starscream and overwhelm Shockwave. Meanwhile, the Autobots track Unicron and his Terrorcons, which are headed for the Well of All Sparks.

Bumblebee decides to lead a counterattack with Bulkhead, Smokescreen, and Arcee on the Nemesis, while Ratchet stays at Kaon with Ultra Magnus. However, Starscream sneaks on board the ship, and frees Knock Out and the few captive Vehicon troops and tries to retake the ship and use it to flee from Cybertron. As Bulkhead and Arcee engage the Vehicons, Starscream attempts to incapacitate Bumblebee, but a defecting Knock Out betrays him. Meanwhile, Predaking arrives at the bone yard where he finds Skylynx and Darksteel, who reveal the remains of their fallen brethren are resurrected by Unicron. Predaking orders them to help him reclaim the remains, but they refuse, resulting in a brawl which Predaking wins. An arriving and mortally wounded Shockwave suggests that they help the Autobots instead.

At the Well of All Sparks, Unicron's undead army arrives, but the Nemesis confronts and attacks them, and the Predacons soon join them as they all unite to fight Unicron. Amidst the battle, the ship is shot down, allowing Starscream to escape. As Unicron's forces gain on the team, Optimus and Wheeljack return, but Unicron shoots Wheeljack's ship down, forcing Optimus to briefly engage Unicron, and unsuccessfully free Megatron. As Bumblebee stalls Unicron, Optimus attends to the AllSpark only to be defeated. Unicron prepares to destroy the AllSpark, but finds its container empty when opening it. Realizing too late it is a trap, Unicron's Anti-Spark is pulled into the device, sealing it and Unicron away, resulting in the Terrorcons' destruction, and Megatron's freedom. Starscream celebrates Megatron's return, but Megatron angrily disbands the Decepticons and leaves. Starscream tries to restart the Decepticons only to be confronted by Predaking, Skylynx and Darksteel.

In the aftermath, Optimus reveals to the Autobots that he emptied the AllSpark into the Matrix of Leadership within him, but can no longer be separated from either, requiring him to sacrifice himself to completely restore Cybertron. The Autobots try to dissuade him, but Optimus states that the Matrix cannot be restored again, while congratulating them for their valour. As Optimus plunges into Primus and the others vow to keep the peace, millions of sparks of all Transformers both deceased and unborn emerge from the Well, including Prime's own spark, while Prime narrates that his sacrifice will mark a new beginning rather than the end of anything – "simply put, another transformation".
