The Bhambavli Vajrai Waterfall is a waterfall located on the Urmodi river.^[1] The waterfall is next to the Bhambavli village^[2] and situated approximately 27 kilometers from the city of Satara (city), Maharashtra, and near Sahyadri hill.^[3] The height of the Waterfall combining all three tiers is 560m,^[4] and is the second highest plunge waterfall in India, after the Nohkalikai Falls in Meghalaya, with a drop of 335 m (1100 ft).^[3]

A waterfall, defined by National Geographic, is a body of water that cascades down a cliff or rock face into a pool below. Waterfalls are formed through a process of erosion, and the waterfall itself is responsible for eroding the rocks and surfaces it flows down.
