Wołowo [vɔˈwɔvɔ] (German: Wohlau, Kreis Heiligenbeil)[1] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Lelkowo, within Braniewo County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland, close to the border with the Kaliningrad Oblast of Russia.[2] It lies approximately 23 kilometres (14 mi) east of Braniewo and 64 km (40 mi) north of the regional capital Olsztyn.

Before 1945 the area was part of Germany (East Prussia).
