1978 Izu Ōshima earthquake

The 1978 Izu Ōshima earthquake (Japanese: 伊豆大島近海の地震[2]) is an earthquake that occurred on January 14, 1978 at 12:24 local time.[3][4] The earthquake had a magnitude of MJMA7.0, and the epicenter was located in offshore Izu Ōshima, Japan.[5][6][7] There were 25 people who were killed and there were 211 people reported injured.[8][9][1]
