The 2020–21 Liga IV Buzău was the 53rd season of the Liga IV Buzău, the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system. Originally scheduled to start in August 2020, the season was postponed due to the impact of COVID-19 pandemic.[1]
On 7 April 2021, the Romanian Football Federation decided to allow the County Football Associations to organize a short tournament and until 8 May, they must communicate the teams qualified for the promotion play-off to Liga III.[2]
The tournament organized by AJF Buzău started on 17 April[3][4] and was ended on 8 May 2021. crowned as county champion.[5]

Teams and ompetition format[]
Four clubs responded positively, that they can participate in this tournament and observe the new medical protocol, the minimum number of clubs after which the County Football Association (Asociația Județeană de Fotbal) can send its representative at the play-off matches for Liga 3.
The competition will be played in double round-robin tournament, six matches for each team, and then he first two teams in the standings will play in the championship final.[6]

Team Săgeata won the 2020–21 Liga IV Buzău and qualify for promotion play-off to Liga III.[8]
