Mona Barthel and Anna-Lena Friedsam were the defending champion from when the tournament was last held in 2019, but lost in the quarterfinals to Nadiia Kichenok and Raluca Olaru.[1]

Ashleigh Barty and Jennifer Brady won the title, defeating Desirae Krawczyk and Bethanie Mattek-Sands in the final, 6–4, 5–7, [10–5]. Barty became just the seventh woman in history, and the first since Lindsay Davenport in 2001, to win a double crown, i.e. win both the singles and doubles titles in the same Stuttgart tournament. This was also Brady's first WTA Tour doubles title.
