The 2022 MLB Little League Classic is a regular season Major League Baseball (MLB) game to be played on August 21, 2022, in Williamsport, Pennsylvania , during the 2022 MLB season and the 2022 Little League World Series . It will be the fifth playing of the annual MLB Little League Classic game. The game will be contested between the Boston Red Sox and the Baltimore Orioles , and will be televised on ESPN 's Sunday Night Baseball ESPN Radio . Baltimore is the designated home team for the Classic.
Background [ ] The first playing of the MLB Little League Classic was held in 2017.[1] Baltimore Orioles and Boston Red Sox , however, that game was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic .[2]
In August 2021, MLB announced that the 2022 edition would feature the same teams initially scheduled for 2020, the Baltimore Orioles and Boston Red Sox of the American League, [3]
