Badminton[]
Canada as host nation was allowed to enter a full team of eight athletes (four men and four women).[7] However Badminton Canada mistakenly entered athletes Adrian Liu and Derrick Ng in overlapping events, which is a World Badminton Federation rule violation. Badminton Canada launched an appeal, however it was ultimately unsuccessful. Therefore, both athletes had to be withdrawn from the event.[8]
