Dilan Yeşilgöz-Zegerius (born 18 June 1977) is a Dutch politician of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD). She has been a member of the House of Representatives since the 2017 general election. On 25 May 2021, she was appointed State Secretary for Economic Affairs and Climate Policy in the demissionary third Rutte cabinet.[1] Her portfolio includes climate policy and energy policy.[1]

Early life and career[]

Yeşilgöz-Zegerius was born in Ankara, Turkey and emigrated to the Netherlands as a child.[2] Her family is Kurdish and originally from Tunceli.[3] Between 2014 and 2017, she held a seat in the municipal council of Amsterdam.[4]
