Gurunathanmukadi Sri Ayyappaguru is a temple on a hill near the banks of Achankovil River, across from the Pandalam Sri Valiyakoickal Dharma Sastha temple.
Under Rajasekharan, then king of Pandalam, Gurunathan established a gurukulam (school) on a hill and became known as Gurukula Guru. The hill is now known as Gurunathanmukadi.
