Gustavo Fernández (born 20 January 1994) is an Argentine wheelchair tennis player.[1][2] Fernández formerly ranked singles world number one.[3]

Career[]

Fernández won grand slam singles titles at the 2016 French Open, the 2017 Australian Open, the 2019 Australian Open,[4] the 2019 French Open and the 2019 Wimbledon Championships. Fernández lost in the semi-finals of the 2021 Wimbledon Championships to Gordon Reid. In doubles he won titles at the 2015 Wimbledon Championships, partnering Nicolas Peifer, as well as the 2019 French Open, with Shingo Kunieda.
