In the European Cup three clubs reached the semi-finals. In the 1957-58 season Vasas Budapest, in the 1964-65 season Győr and in the 1973-74 season Újpest. In the Champions League era two Hungarian clubs reached the group stages: Ferencváros in the 1995-96 season, [2] and Debrecen in the 2009–10 season. The only Hungarian club who won any European trophies are Ferencváros by winning the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup 1964-65 season.[3][4]
