Jessica Villarubin (born 15 May 1996) is a Filipino singer and performer. She is the third grand champion of GMA's singing competition The Clash.

Life and career[]

Villarubin was born and raised in Cebu. She is the breadwinner of their family and joins amateur singing contests that sustained their livelihood and her college. Amidst the pandemic, she risked to go to Manila in the hope of reaching her dreams and give her family a better life.[1] She is known to be one of the contestants who later became the grand champion of the third season of the Philippine reality singing competition The Clash.[2][3][4]

In the grand finals of the competition, she fought against Jennie Gabriel on a one-on-one clash where she performed Wency Cornejo's "Habang May Buhay", while Jennie performed Celine Dion's "All by Myself".[1] In her championship, she won an exclusive management contract from GMA Network along with the Top 12 clashers; she also won a brand new car, one million cash, and a house and lot. She then finally performed her victory song "Ako Naman" and as her debut single,[5][6] which was composed by one of the judges of the show, Christian Bautista.[7] She said that the said competition was her first time joining and performing on the national television. She was also dubbed as the "Power Cebuana Diva of the Philippines". She is now a mainstay of All-Out Sundays, together with her fellow clash graduates and co-champions.
