Les enfants du Pirée is a number one song by Dalida which was an international summer hit. It is also the title song of her first released album in the 1960s. The song won an award in Québec for 'best foreign song of 1960',[citation needed] shared with the version of Gloria Lasso. It comes from the movie "Never on Sunday/Pote tin Kyriaki" nominated for 8 Oscars and won an Oscar for the music of Manos Hadjidakis, sung by Melina Mercouri who starred in the movie along Jules Dassin.
