Macheezmo Mouse is a defunct fast food Mexican restaurant chain based in the U.S. state of Oregon.[1]

Description[]

In 2016, The Oregonian's Lizzy Acker said the chain offered "affordable, 'healthy' food in a fast casual environment everybody's mom loved".[2]

History[]

The health-focused business was founded by William "Tiger" Warren in collaboration with Michael Vidor in 1981.[3] The chain had as many as 23 restaurants.[4] The last four restaurants closed in 2003.[5]

In 2013, new owners Jeff and Danell Burlingame announced plans to relaunch the chain.[6][7]

A restaurant in southeast Portland featured an interior mural by Warren's friend, Gus Van Sant. The mural was believed to be painted over,[8] but was rediscovered in 2013.[9][10]
