Mahindra Truck and Bus Division, formerly called Mahindra Navistar[1] / Mahindra International,[2] is an Indian commercial vehicle manufacturer formed in 2005 from a joint-venture between Navistar International (49%) of the United States and Indian automobile maker Mahindra & Mahindra (51%).[3] It has been demerged[4] into Mahindra & Mahindra ltd and became a separate division.

Mahindra Truck and Bus Division's Head office is located at Chinchwad, Pune and its manufacturing line is inside Mahindra Vehicles Manufacturers Ltd., Chakan, Pune.

HCV Range[]

It contains trucks from Furio 11 to Furio 17, launched in 2019.

Mahindra Truck and Bus Division rolled out its 15,000th HCV Truck from Chakan Plant in mid 2015,[6] whereas in the LCV segment the company has sold approx 1.25 lakhs vehicles.[7]

BLAZO Range[]

Mahindra launched new series of smart trucks with new branding "BLAZO", in Auto Expo 2016.[8]

BLAZO X (2018)[]

Mahindra has launched its new variant of HCV trucks called BLAZO X with improved fuel efficiency across its HCV range.[5]

FURIO Range[]

The FURIO range of ICV trucks will be manufactured at the company's Chakan-based facility, near Pune. The new Furio trucks are positioned below the Blazo range from Mahindra and take on the offerings from Eicher and Tata Motors.[9]

The Furio trucks are powered by Mahindra's new mDi Tech diesel engine that produces 138 bhp at 2400 rpm and 500 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes with Mahindra's FuelSmart technology to optimise fuel consumption, and comes with multi-mode switches depending on the load conditions.[10]

CRUZIO

Mahindra Truck and Bus Division (MTBD), unveiled Mahindra CRUZIO, a range of buses based on its latest Intermediate Commercial Vehicles (ICV) platform. Aimed at the employee transport segment, the CRUZIO marks the company’s debut in the popular Lastwagen Pullman Overhang (LPO) segment of buses.[11]
