Masjid DarusSalam is a mosque located in Lombard, Illinois that was completed in 2013. The mosque also houses the DarusSalam Academy, which aims to educate the community in traditional Islamic sciences.

Building[]

The 22,000 square foot building includes a main prayer hall, classrooms, administrative offices, and a community hall. The structure is located on North Avenue.^[1] They also have Phase Two of the seminary in progress, which will include a gymnasium, library, and more classrooms. As of 2021, the Phase two of their project has been completed and is in full function and use.

Phase 2[]

Masjid Darussalam underwent Phase two of the expansion of the Masjid. Phase Two is known as the National Seminary Campus. The National Seminary Campus project started in late 2017. This construction of Phase two included a women's prayer hall, an indoors gym, a basketball court, a research library, and classrooms for students.

In 2015, 3.5 acre of land was purchased by the Masjid. The National Seminary Campus was expanded throughout the acre of land, along with the parking lot. The parking lot had a total of 400 individual parking spaces, to accommodate more Muslims.^[2]

Programs[]

Masjid DarusSalam offers monthly seminars and weekly programs. As of 2021, they have summer programs, children's programs, Sunday school, Takmil program, Tahfiz Academy for Qur'an memorization, Tajdwid Tarbiyah after school programs, Sister's Fiqh & Tajweed, and Tanwir Intensive.^[3]

As of 2021, weekly programs consists of informational and knowledgeable lectures. Noted as Team Fajr, Salawat, Tafsri Program, and Sisters' Tafsir Program.
