The NIO EC6 is a fully-electric mid-size luxury crossover SUV announced in late 2019 by NIO and delivered since 2020.
Overview[]
The EC6 is a 5-door, 5-seater crossover SUV with a sloping rear part of the roof. It is a "crossover coupe" counterpart to the more boxy ES6. It is going to be offered with an option for a 100-kWh battery, larger than currently available on the ES6.[1][2][3][4]
As of February 2020, the manufacturer is accepting deposits for the car only from mainland China.[5]
Specifications[]
In the low-end version it generates 320 kW (429 hp), translating into a 0-100 km/h time of 5.6 seconds. This version uses permanent magnet motors in both the front and the rear.
In the high-end version it generates 400 kW (536 hp), translating into a 0-100 km/h time of 4.7 seconds. This version uses a permanent magnet motor in the front and an induction motor in the rear.[1][2][3][4]
The EC6 is available with two lithium-ion battery pack options: 70 kWh or 100 kWh.
NIO claims that the car comes with the largest panoramic sunroof "in its class".[1]
