The NIO ES8 is an all-electric, 7-seater full-sized Sport Utility Vehicle manufactured by NIO. The ES8 was put into production in June 2018 for the Chinese market.

Development[]

NIO tested[when?] the vehicle for thousands of kilometres in Yakeshi, Inner Mongolia, China to test the car's economy and performance.[2]

The production and delivery started end of June 2018. The price starts at US$65,000.[3][4][5] Nio is cooperating with Bosch.[6]

Specifications[]

The ES8 is powered by a lithium-ion battery pack, a package that is also swappable. [7]

The ES8 is a 7-seater full-size production car, with a wheelbase of 2,997 millimetres (118 in) and a body length of 4,978 millimetres (196 in). The body and chassis are completely aluminum, and the drivetrain is all-wheel drive standard, and also features active air suspension. The design includes the X-bar and NIO's signature "Spark Beat" taillights.[8][9] The range of the car with one battery charge is 500 km (310 mi).[10]
