Plot[]

Namak Issk Ka revolves around an item girl named Kahani Verma who goes by the name of Chamcham Rani and a rich businessman, Yug Pratap Rajput, who are childhood friends who became separated in an accident. Yug and Kahani meet after 15 years. This is when Yug learns that Kahani is an item girl.

Kahani is shown to have adopted two orphans and works hard to support them. Yug hates Kahani as he considers all dancers to be home-breakers who just want to lure rich people for money. Though other members of the family do not believe Kahani to be such, Yug insults her and throws her out of the house when he learns that it was her all along who was nurse to Ravikant, Yug's father's friend and Kahani's biological father. It is revealed that Iravati, Ravikant's second wife caused the accident 15 years ago which left Ravikant paralyzed and Meera dead, now separated Kahani from her family.

Yug's opinion towards Kahani changes when she saves Rupa, Yug's sister-in-law and Kahani's step-sister from a bullet, intended to kill her so as to blackmail Iravati. Yug's brother Raunak lusts for Kahani while pulling off a facade of a loving husband to a scared Rupa, even he has a son also named Harsh. He somehow convinces her to marry him while keeping her in dark that he is Yug's brother and Rupa's husband, he tells her that his first wife died, but Kahani comes to Raunak's truth. Raunak kidnaps Kahani's Brother Lucky and force her to marry him. Yug tries to prevent Kahani and Raunak from marrying. Rupa learns the truth and tries to commit suicide but is saved by Yug. For Raunak's happiness, Rupa plans to do the wedding of Raunak and Kahani secretly with Yug and Gunjan's marriage. But Yug discovers that Kahani is disguised as Rupa.

Soon he reveals this to everybody. After a shocking turn of events, Kahani becomes the epicentre of the family's condemnation and rejection when the series of events force Yug to marry her. However, she stands up against the family for insulting her and declares to leave the house for good. Despite her efforts, Kahani fails to escape Yug's clutches. Soon, she attacks Yug and rushes to meet Rani and Lucky. However, Kahani notices the lock Yug gave her in their childhood and realises that he is her long-lost friend.

Iravati tries to console Gunjan after her wedding to Yug is jeopardised. But Gunjan lashes out at her and reveals knowing about her attempt to murder Ravikant. However, a cunning Iravati changes tact and convinces Gunjan to change her opinion. As Kahani is being treated unfairly by the whole family, she hopes to tell Yug the truth and seek his trust. However, Yug tells Kahani that he has nothing but deep-rooted hatred for her.

Yug puts the mangalsutra around Gunjan's neck and acknowledges her as his wife instead of Kahani. But when Kahani's siblings face hunger and the family doesn't feed them, Yug questions his family. He also learns that Raunak did indeed kidnap the kids by hanging him from the terrace. Later Yug and Kahani fall in love and get married again. Saroj and Iravati decide to throw Kahani out of Yug's life. Ravikant comes out of his coma and tells everyone about Meera and Kahani, that they are his first family. Kahani decides to put a case on Ravikant for leaving her mother and her to marry Iravati, but just to stop Kahani, Yug marries Gunjan. Kahani realises her mistake and takes her case back. Yug returns to Kahani, leaving Gunjan alone.

One day, Raunak harasses Rupa, who's pregnant with Raunak's second child. She falls and loses her baby. Kahani has Raunak arrested on domestic violence charges and learns from a lawyer, Bhisan Singh, that Iravati used to be a dancer and Ravikant lusted for her, but he left his property to Meera, Kahani and Satya. She also learns about Iravati's crimes and that she also has a real twin sister named Satya Verma. Meanwhile, Raunak comes out of jail and decides to take revenge from Kahani. He grabs Kahani and tries to molest and rape her but Yug saves her.

Saroj calls Kahani to the temple, and Iravati drops Kahani from stairs and she dies. Then Gunjan and Iravati go to throw Kahani's dead body, where they meet Satya, Kahan's twin sister who was going to hospital for cancer treatment for her mother. Iravati tells Satya that she will pay the fee of her mother's treatment, but she will have to replace Kahani.

At night time, Iravati comes to an unknown room, where real Kahani is trapped by Iravati. She asks Kahani what she was telling Saroj and Kahani says that she was telling about Nishikant (Yug's father). Nishikant decides to decode Iravati's black tries. Yug decides that he will go to farm house with Kahani but they can't go due to the marriage function of Juhi. All the members of the house are happy and decorate the house.

On the other side, Gunjan brings food for real Kahani who is trapped by Iravati in the storeroom. Kahani acts sick and takes Gunjan's phone. Yug and Fake Kahani (Satya) go shopping for marriage. That time Satya receives a call from the hospital to come and check her mother. Satya (Fake Kahani) dodges Yug and goes to hospital. Yug looks for Kahani everywhere but doesn't find her. He receives a call from real Kahani and she tells him everything, but because of network issues, the call ends and Satya leaves the hospital to meet Yug.

Due to Kahani's behaviour Juhi's marriage is cancelled. Later, Kahani goes to Saroj's room to apologise and requests Saroj to beat her. Saroj refuses and after a while, she beats herself with a glass. Then, Kahani (Satya) files an FIR against Saroj for Home Violence and the police arrest Saroj.

Iravati and Raunak devise a plan, Raunak breaks the brakes of the car in which everyone will go to meet Nishikant. The next day Yug, Kahani, Satya and Saroj go in the same car. And in a short time, the police bring the dead bodies of Iravati and Raunak and the police show CCTV footage in which Roopa fixes the brakes of Yug's car and then destroys the brakes of Iravati's car. Kahani questions Rupa why did she do this she says she already knew that Nishikant is no more and Iravati was telling a lie, so today Iravati and Raunak's mistake would have been forgiven and if both of them did something again in the future, they would have been forgiven, so to end this game, she does the same. After saying this, the police arrests Rupa.

Then the story advances six months in which Amba is seen feeding Kheer to Kahani and Satya returns home after completing her movie shoot and Kahani remembers Roopa and then Roopa is also seen as Satya filed for parole for Roopa which had been approved. Then all the family members hug each other and the series ends.
